The World Congress on Railway Research (WCRR) is an international railway research congress hosted by six representative countries, France, USA, Italy, Japan, Germany, United Kingdom and UIC.
The formation of the World Congress on Railway Research (WCRR) was first discussed during a railway research and development workshop held in Tokyo, 1992, and the first launch of the World Congress on Railway Research took place in Paris, 1994. The 8th Congress will be hosted by Korea between May 18 and May 22, 2008.
